Who we are?

“Smt. Vijayalaxmi Sarvottam Deshpande Education and Social Welfare Society” (VSDESWS) got unfolded in July, 2019. Our Society works in various dimensions in the fields of Education, Health and Development of differently abled children. We deliberately believe that Education enlightens the lives and livelihood of all the beings. Concurrently, better health care is the fundamental right of every individual and not any privilege to which only few are obliged to. The society envisages a “Rehabilitation centre for differently abled children” which is dedicated to work dynamically towards the development of differently abled children. Worthy opportunities, desirable recommendations and Empathy are the fundamentals that they deserve. Specialty of our centre is that “We love and care for the lives adhering to Humanity”. Thereby, working recklessly for the human welfare with uttermost love and compassion.

We not only provide the basic Education and the Physiotherapy through our Educators and Therapists, but also, we provide quality Doctors and their valuable suggestions to the differently abled Children. Yes! We are connected to a network of caliber Doctors who are highly professional and have enormous experience dealing with the Differently abled Children and their associated disabilities.

They visit to our Centre on a weekly basis, monthly basis and also, as per the special needs generated depending upon the requirements of different Kids at our centre. In special cases, we refer to the appropriate Doctors. Based on their valuable recommendations, few kids have undergone operations (if needed) and have recovered and are able to carry out the activities far better than before. So, this collaboration of our team with Doctors has been a cutting edge in the evolution process of the differently abled Children.

What’s our main Aspiration?

We aim that the differently abled kids enrolled with us live a self sufficient life without depending on their parents for minutest things. For instance, we ensure that a kid, who was earlier dependent on their parent even for feeding, will go throughout the home while hungry, search for the food and then have it on his/her own ability. And also when he/she is out of our course, we ensure that the child is all set to attend the school just like every normal kid to conceive the education. As we believe that education is the key to live an independent and a dignified life which is completely Self Sustainable!.

What we do?

Equality is a state wherein equal opportunities are provided to everyone ranging from a normal kid to differently abled. But that alone isn’t adequate. Therefore, we believe in the concept of equity. Wherein, we assess the vital needs of the differently abled child and then provide equal opportunities accordingly.

We strive towards working for the evolution of a differently abled child and focus on equity rather than only equality.

We initially get them admitted to our “Rehabilitation centre for differently abled children” of peer group 1-14 years belonging to any of the 17 categories of disabilities such as-
